LEGAL NOTICE:
The Herrick Township Zoning Hearing Board shall hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 609(A)(3) of the Herrick Township Zoning Ordinance (“Zoning Ordinance”) on July 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Building located at 1350 Lewis Lake Road, Union Dale (Herrick Township), PA 18470, regarding the application for variance filed by Brian & Melissa Zembrzycki for property located at 7014 State Route 171, Union Dale, PA 18470 (Herrick Township, Susquehanna County).  The property is located in the Agricultural-Rural Residential Zoning District and contains a single family residence.   The requested variance is to construct an addition to the single family residence 18 feet from the side yard property line.   Section 304 of the Zoning Ordinance establishes a side yard building setback of 30 feet.   A copy of the application is available for review at the Township Building located at 1350 Lewis Lake Road, Union Dale, PA 18470.

Herrick Township Supervisors are considering adopting zoning amendments, Subdivision and Land Development ordinance, and a Mass Gathering ordinance. The proposed ordinances are here for public review. No date has been set for a public hearing.

Herrick Township Supervisors meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the township building. If the first Monday is a legal holiday or meeting is canceled due to inclement weather the meeting will be held the following day at 6:00 p.m. at the township building.

Herrick Township Planning Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the township building provided agenda items are received seven days in advance.

Before beginning construction, alterations, additions, demolitions, or change of uses you must obtain any or all of the following permits: zoning, building, sewage, driveway.
